Declan’s Story.

At Metric we are extremely proud to have so many fantastic people through our doors who trust us with their goals and time. Meet one of them, Declan.

WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO START TO TRAIN? 

I was getting married and wasn’t happy with how I looked. Lockdown had started and I wanted to use my time from home to get into shape. The 1-2-1 coaching sessions and group conditioning sessions sounded like a good idea.

WHAT HAVE YOU ENJOYED ABOUT TRAINING WITH METRIC?

Even though the majority of my training took place online, I still felt motivated to exercise. Michael did an amazing job of keeping the classes and sessions fresh and interesting. He is a brilliant motivator and managed to make all his clients feel included - no matter if they were able to exercise in person or not. Michael gave me challenging yet achievable exercise and nutrition goals which ultimately resulted in me losing 32 pounds and feeling great on my wedding day.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNT?

I’ve learnt the value of the basics - drink water to help lose weight and remember to get steps in alongside regular workouts. Michael also made exercise and nutrition sustainable and I learnt that you can fit it into your daily life and you can sometimes have a cheat day without ruining your progress.
